The Tanzania Brokers Association Board has been officially launched in Tanzania as an important step in formalizing and strengthening the brokerage sector in the country.
Speaking at the launch, April 10, 2026, in Dar es Salaam, Mr. Judeid Othman who is the CEO of Mkuyu Africa Builders and Developers Real Estate said the board will be responsible for registering all brokers in the country through the application system (Application) a step that will help to identify and confirm real brokers who work professionally in Tanzania.
He said the institution of Mkuyu Africa Builders and Developers has initiated the establishment of the board, with the aim of establishing a stable system that will unite and recognize all the brokers in the country.
He said that there is a system that has already been developed which is in the APP system, where the broker will log in and register by putting his recognizable IDs and after that he will be given a control number, he will pay and be given his license to work.
He said that the money that the broker pays goes directly to the government by using the control number and after registering he will be legally recognized. So far there are more than 200 brokers who have registered. By using the system, a broker who commits fraud will be banned or punished.
He said the establishment of the board will help increase trust in the brokerage sector, while also providing opportunities for brokers to do their work with official identification and in accordance with established procedures.
Mr. Othman emphasized that brokerage is a legitimate job that should be respected and called on all brokers in the country to recognize themselves and know the value of their work so that they can get the respect they deserve from society.
The launch of the board is expected to bring about positive changes in the brokerage sector by increasing transparency, accountability and protecting the interests of customers and all stakeholders in the sector.
