The President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi has met with the Chief Executive Officer of the Turkish FMSS Bilişim Technology Company, Mr. Cihan Aktaş and held talks with him on various development issues.
President Dr. Mwinyi met with Mr. Aktas and his delegation at the Zanzibar State House on March 26, 2026 and assured the company of cooperation so that it can achieve its mission of collaborating with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training to bring about digital system reforms in the education sector in Zanzibar.
He has instructed the Ministry of Education to continue negotiations with the company to identify key areas of cooperation in the education sector, emphasizing that apart from strengthening education, the move will increase the good relations between Zanzibar and Turkey.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Turkish FMSS Bilişim Technology Company, Mr. Cihan Aktaş said the company has decided to collaborate with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training to bring about reforms in the education sector in Zanzibar using a digital education system.
He said the company has long experience in teacher training, technology, teaching and praised the progress made in educational development in Zanzibar.
