Women’s groups in Mbozi District, Songwe Region have continued to thank the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) for its efforts to reach out to them, listen to them and empower them through tax and business education, which contributes to strengthening their economic activities and increasing their understanding of tax issues.
The thanks were given on March 23, 2026 when they were visited by officials from the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) Songwe Region with the aim of identifying them, educating them and listening to their challenges.
The visit was led by the Head of the Songwe Region Business Facilitation Desk, Mr. Omari Ponda, in collaboration with the Tax Administration Officer, Mr. Laurent Kewe and the Songwe Regional Liaison Officer, Mr. Joseph Chamba.
A large part of the visit was filled with gratitude from women’s groups who expressed their satisfaction with how TRA Songwe Region continues to reach out to them directly in their areas, listen to their challenges and provide them with solutions through tax and business education.
TRA Songwe Region has continued to emphasize its commitment to reaching out to various groups in the community, especially women entrepreneurs, by building a proper understanding of taxes and helping them grow their businesses.
