Minister of State, Office of the President (Special Tasks), Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi, has encouraged Tanzanians living abroad (Diaspora) to continue investing in the country and actively participate in national development efforts.
He said Tanzanians abroad have a great opportunity to contribute to the country’s economic growth through capital, expertise and experience gained abroad.
Prof. Kabudi said this during a meeting with Tanzanians living in London, England, where he presented the greetings of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, along with the government’s message to Tanzanians living abroad.
He said the government is continuing efforts to fix, rebuild and make improvements in various sectors.

Professor Kabudi has urged Tanzanians living abroad to buy shares in development projects implemented in the country, participate in joint investments and use their expertise in collaboration with experts in Tanzania to support the development of various sectors including health, education and technology.
Ambassador of Tanzania in England, Mr. Mbelwa Kairuki, said the government will continue to cooperate closely with Tanzanians living abroad through its embassies.
He added that the Tanzanian Embassy in London will continue to be an important link between the government and the Diaspora in strengthening investment cooperation and national development.
Speaking on behalf of the Diaspora, Mr. Hassan Khamis thanked Prof. Kabudi for his visit and for meeting Tanzanians living abroad.
He said the visit shows the government’s determination to strengthen communication with the Diaspora, while promising that Tanzanians living abroad will continue to cooperate with the government in contributing to the development of their country.
In the meeting, Professor Kabudi was accompanied by the President’s Adviser on Diplomacy, Ambassador Lazaro Nyalandu.
The leaders are in England to attend Commonwealth meetings as well as participate in various discussions aimed at strengthening international cooperation and the development of member countries.
