PRIMARY MINISTER, Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba has urged government officials not to seize citizens’ lands by force on the grounds of investment as the position of the President, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan is to be a leader in development and investment.
“President, Dr. Samia says that government officials, in regional areas, in districts, should not seize people’s lands on the grounds of investment or development. Everyone should be given their rights, do not use tyranny to seize people’s lands, Deputy Minister – RALGM should write a letter giving such instructions”, the Prime Minister insisted
He said this, February 19, 2026 while speaking to Rombo residents immediately after laying the foundation stone of the Rombo District Council administrative building, in Kilimanjaro region.
Dr. Mwigulu said, President Dr. Samia is doing a great job that brings respect to Tanzania.
“There were things that were embarrassing to say, but today within four years, President Dr. Samia has implemented them”, he said
He said during the four years, President Dr. Samia has built administrative buildings in 143 councils that did not have buildings in satisfactory condition.
“He has also built 119 hospitals in all districts that did not have district hospitals”, he said
The Prime Minister has instructed the Kilimanjaro Regional PCCB Commander to follow up on allegations in the Fish Dam project located in Mraokeryo area, Rombo District in Kilimanjaro Region which has been built below standard and reduced the size of the dam that was supposed to be built.
The Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government, Mr. Reuben Kwagiilwa has instructed all Council Directors to ensure that each one supervises his subordinates to increase accountability in providing services to the citizens.
