India: TANZANIA is ready to cooperate to ensure that the use of artificial intelligence in the country is sustainable, robust and innovative, taking into account environmental protection and the use of efficient energy.
Presenting Tanzania’s report at the General Conference on Artificial Intelligence to be held in India on February 18, 2026, presented by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mrs. Angellah Kairuki said that one of the priorities is to invest in building data storage centers.
Minister Kairuki, who is also the Member of Parliament for Kibamba Constituency, in Dar es Salaam, said the government is strengthening cooperation with the private sector including researchers, designers and ensuring that the use of artificial intelligence brings productivity to the country.
At the conference, experts from Tanzania were able to participate in the working sessions of the conference to discuss how the country will ensure the use of artificial intelligence becomes better and sustainable.
Minister Kairuki met with ministers from various countries and discussed with investors and leading companies on the use of ‘Akili Unde’ to see how Tanzania benefits through various stakeholder opportunities.
