Mbeya Regional Referral Hospital and Aga Khan Hospital have signed an agreement to provide joint health services

In an effort to continue providing quality services to the public, Mbeya Regional Referral Hospital in collaboration with Aga Khan Hospital Tanzania have signed an agreement to collaborate in the provision of various services to the public.

Speaking after signing the agreement, the Executive Director of Mbeya Regional Referral Hospital, Dr. Godlove Mbwanji said the main objective of the agreement is to collaborate in various areas of service provision to the public and continue to build various professional capacities in the areas of health service provision to the community.

“…the main objective of today’s meeting is to sign an agreement that enables these two institutions to collaborate in various areas in serving our patients”, Dr. Mbwanji

Dr. Mbwanji said the public and private sectors have every reason to work together with the aim of serving the citizen and thus even leading to the growth of the medical tourism sector for foreigners to come to receive medical services in the country due to the availability of quality health services through this partnership.

The Executive Director of the Aga Khan Hospital Tanzania, Dr. Sisawo Konteh, has commended the agreement as it is beneficial for both parties due to the strategic operational proximity that will exist in various areas including the provision of health services as well as capacity building through various professional innovations.

“I would like to say that we are very proud of the existence of this agreement that has been made as it will be beneficial for both parties in various areas through capacity building as well as the presence of various innovations from experts on both sides”, said Dr. Sisawo Konteh

Earlier speaking to journalists, Dr. Mbwanji urged citizens to continue to join the Universal Health Insurance to avoid costs that may arise when they encounter challenges including diseases.
