Amana Regional Referral Hospital has received experts from Mnazi Mmoja Zanzibar Referral Hospital and stakeholders from the University of Norway (Haukelanda) who came to learn in practice how the electronic health management system (eHMS) works.
The experts visited various service delivery areas and saw how the system helps to store patient information accurately, simplify service delivery and increase transparency in hospital operations from when a patient registers with a doctor to the final step of taking medication.
During the visit, the experts were able to exchange experiences with Amana hospital staff about the challenges and successes in the use of technology, especially in providing health services.
The visit has opened doors to cooperation and improved relations between Amana Hospital and health institutions locally and abroad.
