The Minister of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Mr. Paul Makonda, has said that the Ministry has been allocated TZS 2 billion that will enable various content creators on the Internet to strengthen their work and increase their income through digital platforms.

He said this on January 29, 2026 in Dodoma and noted that the funds have been provided by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan with the aim of empowering all groups of content creators including in the Tourism, Sports, News, Society, Music, Film and other arts sectors.

He said the registration exercise for the beneficiaries officially begins from January 30 to February 15, 2026, where content creators are required to arrive at the offices of District Councils, Municipalities and Cities through information units, to collect and fill out application forms, specifying personal information as well as the activities they carry out.
