Katambi presents report on security agencies to parliamentary committee

The Minister of Home Affairs, Patrobas Katambi, has presented a report on the implementation of the responsibilities of the Police Force, Prisons Force and Fire and Rescue Force before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security (NUU), chaired by its Chairperson, Najma Murtaza Giga.

The session is part of the preparations for the Second Session of the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania which is expected to begin on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

The session was held today in Dodoma and was attended by Deputy Minister Ayoub Mohamed Mahmoud, Permanent Secretary Ally Senga Gugu, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Dr. Maduhu Kazi, Commissioner General of Prisons Jeremiah Katungu, Commissioner General of Fire and Rescue John Masunga, Police Commissioner Liberatus Sabas, Zanzibar Police Commissioner Kombo Khamis Kombo, as well as heads of units, departments and senior officers from security agencies under the ministry.
