Prime Minister orders ‘high-speed’ transport service to resume within 10 days

The Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba has made a tour to visit various infrastructures in Dar es Salaam, including those affected by acts of peace violations during the October 29, 2025 general elections.

After visiting and inspecting, he has directed the high-speed transport to resume within 10 days while also ordering the ‘Ufufuo na Uzima’ to be opened to give believers the right to continue their worship as usual.

Speaking at a public meeting with citizens held in Mbezi Mwisho, Ubungo district, Dar es Salaam, Dr. Mwigulu, in addition to expressing condolences to the citizens, said that the high-speed transport whose infrastructure has been damaged is important for the citizens, so urgent improvements must be made and it should resume immediately.

He said that the Ministry of Regional Development and Local Government should trust local contractors in the construction of road projects and other areas so that Tanzanian youth can find jobs.

He has ordered all negligent and corrupt employees not to be transferred from their work centers but to be fired because there are many young people who need to find jobs where he has urged the youth to protect their country instead of participating in acts of destruction of their country while urging them to trust the commission formed by the President, Dr. Samia.

Speaking about the issue of the Church of Resurrection and Life being opened, Dr. Mwigulu said it is important that it be opened and given a six-month waiting period because if a church or mosque leader makes a mistake, it is not good to punish believers.

The President, Dr. Samia said that the Tanganyika independence celebrations on December 09, 2025 will not be held and the funds for the celebrations should be used to improve the infrastructure that was damaged on the day of the general election.

Before welcoming the Prime Minister, the Minister of TALIMISEMI, Mr. Riziki Shemdoe said that on the road from the city center to Kimara, more than 20 Mwendokasi stations have been damaged along with important ticketing systems, which has caused the transport to be temporarily suspended.

The Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Mr. Albert Chalamila has discussed some of the impacts that occurred during the general elections on October 29, 2025 and promised to continue educating the community on the importance of peace and protecting their country as well.

He has emphasized ensuring that citizens receive appropriate services without giving bribes, including youths to obtain loans and other services, including water and health, as these factors contribute to the anger and hatred of the citizens towards their government.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, who is also the Member of Parliament for Kibamba constituency, Mrs. Anjela Kairuki, and the Minister of Investment, Professor Kilila Mkumbo, thanked the citizens and apologized for the violence that occurred on election day.

He has urged the youth to be patriotic to the Nation and avoid being used by people who do not have good intentions for the Nation, while commending the work of improving social services being done by the government, while also requesting that Magufuli’s stand be used appropriately.
