Muhimbili National Hospital – Mloganzila has continued to improve services in neonatal wards by increasing medical equipment and strengthening the capacity of service providers to ensure that premature babies have a greater chance of survival and growth.
The statement was made by Dr. Lucy Mpayo, Premature Infants Champion while speaking at a walk to celebrate World Premature Infants Day held at the hospital with the slogan .. “Let’s give premature babies a better start in good health”.
She said the celebration is held annually, on November 17, with the aim of raising awareness about the challenges these babies face and encouraging measures to improve their services.
