Muhimbili National Hospital Mloganzila in collaboration with a Specialist in Jaw Reconstruction Surgery from India, Dr. Chirag Desai has started a special dental implant camp for people who are challenged with tooth loss due to various reasons.
Through the camp that started on October 13, 2025, more than 40 people will undergo tooth root transplant surgery and others will be implanted with dentures, something that will enable these people to overcome the condition of tooth loss they previously had.
This is not the first time that the hospital has held a special dental implant and denture camp as the camps have been held regularly where before this camp, approximately 67 people have benefited from these services.
These camps are used as a platform for exchanging experiences between experts from abroad and local professionals so that these services can be sustainable in the country and reduce the inconvenience for citizens to travel abroad to seek these services.
The dental implant camp will officially conclude on October 17, 2025, where citizens with the challenge of losing teeth are advised to come to the hospital for examination and receive appropriate treatment.
