The Eighth National Mining Technology Exhibition in Geita is expected to be launched on September 22, 2025 by Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa at the Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan grounds, Bombambili, Geita Municipality.
Geita Regional Resident Mining Officer, Mr. Samwel Shoo, said yesterday that the Mining Commission is participating in the exhibition for the eighth consecutive time and has prepared educational services for all stakeholders in the mining sector who will visit its booths.
The education will cover modern technologies for research, mining and mineral processing.
“This is an important season that brings together miners, miners, traders and other mining stakeholders to exchange knowledge and learn new techniques. It is also an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the mining sector and other socio-economic sectors”, he said.
He said it is an opportunity for small, medium and large miners as well as investors to learn various technologies used in the mining sector.
“There is a pavilion of the Ministry of Minerals and its institutions, including the Minerals Commission. It is important that Tanzanians interested in investing visit these pavilions to gain in-depth knowledge about the entire mining sector chain”, he said
The exhibition, this year, carries the theme, “Growth of the Mining Sector is the Result of the Use of Proper Technology and Good Leadership, Participate in the 2025 General Elections”.
