Karatu: Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr. Hassan Abbasi on September 18, 2025, visited and inspected the construction of the Geological Museum (Geopark) in Karatu.
Speaking after inspecting the building, Dr. Abbasi instructed the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority to improve some of the history stored in the building so that it can be read more accurately.
The museum is 100% complete and will help tourists from various countries enjoy their rock tourism activities due to the attractions in the museum where residents of Karatu, Ngorongoro, Monduli and Longido districts will be part of the beneficiaries of the project.
The building worth Tsh. 25 billion will be inaugurated in October this year.
