A total of two reducing stations from Hoima from Uganda to Chongolaani- Tanga is expected to be built to support the reduction of crude oil that is being transported in parallel to protect the infrastructure of the oil pipeline.
This was stated by an infrastructure specialist from the number one (PRS-1), built in Kibaya County, Kiteto District in Manyara, Engineer Damian Lasway, while discussing the development of the facility’s infrastructure where he said the construction of the facility had reached 50 percent.
He said the construction of the facilities would go hand in hand with Uganda, where in the country the two stations will be built alongside the oil pumping to be built in Muleba, Mbogwe, Igunga and Singida and the other two will be in Uganda.
“This work on the construction of these facilities is very important as the oil traveling from Uganda is very fast so there must
He said the first station would be built in Manyara, Kibaya County, Kiteto District and the second will be built in Sindeni County, Handeni District in Tanga.
He added that Tanzania and Uganda have played a major role in the implementation of the crude oil pipeline project by ensuring that indigenous people benefit from various international experts from different countries.
Commenting on how they benefit from the skills, some indigenous people in the area, including Rajab Rajab who is a Quality PRS-1, said at present their potential has grown significantly differently than they were when they entered the project
“I am sure if a project like this again we will be able to implement projects the biggest thing is for the government to identify us and put in the data of professionals so that when they are needed they are easily accessible,” said Mr. Rajab
Human Resources Officer Mrs. Priscilla Baregu said that despite the indigenous people being given a priority in the implementation of the project, they have already begun to identify inexperienced workers by sending them to universities recognized and being trained.
“So far we have sent about 4 employees to formal training and we are paying for everything to provide incentives and have the expertise when the project is completed,” said the grandmother. Priscilla
The East African crude oil pipeline project will be implemented in 16 pieces where the first starts in Uganda to Chongolaani Tanga.
