The Prime Minister has completed his visit to Belarus and invited investors to Tanzania

Prime Minister Kassim Majali has concluded his two -day professional tour in Belarus and has used the tour to invite industrialists, companies and businesses to invest in the country.

The Prime Minister explained to the heads of the institution he met with some of the strategic areas on investment which are Higher Education, Health, Agriculture, ICT, Industry Development, Minerals and Tourism Promotion.

Said President Dr. Samia Solution Hassan is committed to promoting the Tanzanian economy by improving the investment environment in the country.

Based on President Samia’s intention, the Prime Minister has assured the industrialists and owners of the companies that want to invest in the country, the Tanzanian government’s willingness to cooperate with them by providing appropriate assistance when they come to invest in the country.

He has urged the industrial and agricultural industries to open branches in Tanzania including the Mechanization Centers so that the services of tractors can be close to the farmers.

On July 23, 2025 the Prime Minister visited the machinery to manufacture minerals and mines and also visited the rescue and extinguishing equipment factory and emphasized the importance of cooperating with the industry to eliminate the problem of such equipment shortages in the country.

The companies and institutions visited the Prime Minister include the BelmetPreparaty (Republican Unitary Production Enterprises, the Minsk Tractor Plant (OJSC) and the University of Belarus (BSATU).

Other areas are the electronic production and distribution factory (Belomo), the production and distribution of machinery and the large mines (Belaz JSC) and the company for the manufacture and distribution of rescue equipment and fireworks (Pozhsnab LLC).

He said during the visit, Prime Minister Majali met with his host, Mr. Alexander Turchin where they collectively witnessed the signing of three agreements on political consultation and agreement to develop the agricultural and education sectors.

They witnessed the signing of the treaty between the Tanzania Business, Industry and Agriculture Association (TCCIA) and the Belarus Commerce Association aimed at promoting trade cooperation between the two countries.

The Prime Minister Majali also met with representatives of the Belarus Companies of African Nations (AFTRADE) and placed a flower bouquet on the Memorial Tower.

During the visit, the Prime Minister accompanied the Minister of State, the Office of the President’s Labor, Economics and Investment of SMZ, Mr. Shariff Ali Sharriff, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Cosato Chumi, Deputy Secretary -General of the Ministry of Energy, Dr. Khatibu Kazungu, Deputy Secretary General Agriculture, Dr. Stephen Nindi and Tanzanian Ambassador to Russia and Belarus, Ambassador Fredrick Kibuta and other government officials.
