Experts at the Muhimbili-Mloganzila National Hospital have had to continue to focus on the proper use of medical equipment so that they can be used for a long time and reduce the cost of repairing the equipment when they are damaged.
The call was issued by Assistant Director of MNH-Mloganzila Medical Services, Dr. Elineema Meda during a professional conference that brought together various cadres of the hospital.
Dr. Meda added that proper use of medical equipment will continue to increase service delivery as patients will be sure to access care at any time without any obstacle due to poor medical equipment.
Giving a presentation at the conference, Head of the Department of Medical Equipment Engineer Chacha Saidi said during the second quarter of 2024/2025 his department had made the maintenance of 250 medical equipment, the diagnosis of damaged medical equipment 286, inspection of 180 equipment and implementation of protective maintenance for 60 devices.
Engineer Chacha added that his department has continued to train consumers, install 18 medical devices and resolve the various challenges 102 measures that improve performance and continue to increase service delivery.
