Tanzanian ambassador to Sweden, Mr. Mobhare Matinyi, has officially submitted identity documents to King Carl XVI Gustaf at a special event held on June 12, 2025, in the palace of the Swedish king, in Stockholm.
After a brief conversation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Swedish Kingdom, Mr. Ambassador Matinyi was escorted to the official parade to the royal palace and presented the documents to King Carl XVI Gustaf as a formal symbol of starting his work as a representative of the United Republic of Tanzania in Sweden.
In their brief conversation, Mr. Ambassador Matinyi reached out to King Carl XVI Gustaf greetings of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, to him personally as well as the government and the Swedish people.
Mr. Ambassador Matinyi explained to King Carl XVI Gustaf Tanzania’s commitment to develop and strengthen the diplomatic relations between the two countries and intend to promote cooperation in the implementation of economic diplomacy, especially in investment, trade, tourism, education and vocational training, health, energy, infrastructure, environmental conservation.
King Carl XVI Gustaf sent a brotherly greeting and friendship to the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr Samia Solution Hassan explained that his Swedish country will continue to cooperate with Tanzania for the benefit of both nations, especially in developing the industrial, energy, mining, tourism and education sectors.
Mr. Matinyi was appointed by President Dr. Samia will be the Ambassador of Tanzania in Sweden on March 25 2025 where he will also be responsible for representing Tanzania in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine.
