The Attorney General, Mr. Hamza Johari, participated in the ongoing visit of the Judicial Service Commission to Rukwa and Katavi Regions.
The Attorney General attended the visit, May 27, 2025 and held a meeting with the Judicial Service Commission and the Judicial Staff of the Katavi Region which was held at the conference hall of the Katavi Regional Commissioner’s Office.
The Attorney General is a member of the Judicial Service Commission in accordance with Article 112 of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania.
During the visit, the Attorney General was accompanied by the Chairman of the Commission, the Chief Justice of Tanzania, Prof. Ibrahim Hamis Juma.
The Chairman of the Judicial Service Commission, the Chief Justice of Tanzania, Prof. Ibrahim Hamis Juma who chaired the meeting thanked the Attorney General for being an important link between the Government and the Judiciary on various issues of Lawmaking which have simplified the functioning of the Judiciary.
“We thank the Attorney General for developing and improving various laws that have simplified the administration of justice and reduced the backlog of cases”, said Prof. Juma
The Chief Justice has commended the Attorney General for participating in various activities to improve the Judiciary and giving priority to the visit of the Judicial Service Commission despite having a difficult schedule facing him
“We congratulate you, Mrs. Johari, for your participation in various issues concerning the Judiciary as well as giving importance to this visit despite facing a difficult schedule including the ongoing sessions of Parliament”, said the Chief Justice
The Attorney General, speaking at the meeting, was pleased with the steps taken by the Judiciary in improving its infrastructure thus simplifying the functioning of the Judiciary
“I would like to commend the Judicial Commission for improving the infrastructure of courts in various regions of the country thus simplifying the delivery of justice to the citizens”, said the Attorney General
