The Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Mr. Albert Chalamila has handed over two new vehicles to the Administrative Secretary of Dar es Salaam and the District Commissioner of Ilala.
Handing over the vehicles, he urged them to use the vehicles to provide services to the citizens to solve their challenges.
Speaking to journalists, May 20, 2025 in Dar es Salaam, Mr. Chalamila said the vehicles were provided by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan as a strategy to align with the National Development Vision.
He said he urged all leaders who were handed over the vehicles to work to serve Tanzanians with integrity to change their living conditions and solve their challenges.
Mr. Chalamila, in addition to thanking the President, Dr. Samia for continuing to facilitate the availability of vehicles in the Region has also thanked him for approving some funds for the construction of the Regional Commissioner’s office in this financial year due to the great need for the office and the Ilala District Commissioner’s office.
Mr. Chalamila has used the opportunity to remind leaders and citizens of the Region to realize that this is an election year so it is important to continue updating their information in order to participate in the 2025 General Elections this year.
The Acting Administrative Secretary of the Dar es Salaam Region, Mr. Laurance Malangwa has assured the Regional Commissioner that the vehicles will be used in accordance with government legal procedures so that they can last and serve for a long time.
Ilala District Commissioner, Mr. Edward Mpogolo promising to serve the citizens closely to resolve their concerns and remind them of the issue of updating their information for the General Elections this year.
