Clean Energy is a National Priority – Engineer Mramba

**Participate in Marathon to Promote Clean Cooking Energy **Clean Energy will reduce environmental damage and protect health

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Engineer Felchesmi Mramba, has said that the issue of access to clean cooking energy is one of the country’s priorities and that the Government is ensuring that the Strategic Plan for the Use of Clean Cooking Energy is implemented rapidly and carefully to fulfill the country’s ambition to move from the use of dirty cooking energy to clean energy.

He said this on May 17, 2025 in Dar es Salaam while participating in the Clean Cooking Energy Marathon held at Oysterbay grounds.

“The government has decided to move quickly on this issue of clean cooking energy to avoid environmental damage as unsafe energy such as wood and charcoal is used extensively for cooking so if we implement this Vision, we will significantly reduce environmental damage as well as protect the health of the citizens”, said Engineer Mramba

Engineer Mramba, has commended the organizers of the Marathon, the Tanzania Business Women’s Association (TABWA), which aims to promote Clean Cooking Energy for the People.

He has urged various stakeholders to continue to come forward and to continue to develop strategies to disseminate Clean Cooking Energy education to more Tanzanians.
