Deputy Minister of Energy, Mrs. Judith Kapinga has said that the Government through the Tanzania Electricity Corporation (TANESCO) is implementing various maintenance and repair projects for electricity transmission and distribution lines in Kibiti District to overcome the problem of power outages caused by wear and tear.
Mrs. Kapinga said this on May 12, 2025 in Parliament in Dodoma while responding to a question by the Member of Parliament for Kibiti, Mr. Twaha Mpbenwe who wanted to know the Government’s strategy to solve the problem of power outages in Kibiti Constituency.
She mentioned that the strategies are to replace power poles with high-capacity ones, replace electrical poles with concrete ones, replace Pin insulators with new ones and install fault auto reclosers on lines with a length of more than 50 kilometers.
