The management of Muhimbili National Hospital Mloganzila has now for the third time succeeded in arresting a suspect who was trying to rob relatives of the deceased who arrived at the hospital.

According to a statement released yesterday by Mloganzila Hospital, it claimed that the arrested suspect has been identified as Mr. David Mhame, a resident of Yombo Kilakala, Dar es Salaam, and after arresting him, they took him to Salender Bridge Police Station.
The statement, which was circulated on news outlets, said that after taking the suspect to the police, a case was opened on suspicion of trying to defraud patients and relatives of patients who come to the hospital for various services.
Mr. Mhame was arrested after receiving information that he wanted to defraud, Ms. Fatuma Mohamed, a resident of Kigogo, of TZS 1.2Mil so that she could help him take the body of her brother who is in the hospital.
According to Ms. Fatuma, the suspect joined a meeting of relatives and pretended to be part of the family and advised them to find that amount of money so that they could take the body for burial but later they surprised him and started questioning him and when they realized that he was not giving understandable information, they reported him to the hospital management and eventually arrested him.
Ms. Fatuma said this is the second time now as the first time he managed to defraud her of 300,000/-, in January, 2025 when they were in the process of taking the body to Muhimbili National Hospital-Upanga and when they tried to search for him they were unable to find him, but this time they have managed to arrest him.
