The Dar es Salaam Regional Political Committee of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has conducted a visit to visit and inspect the construction of various development projects in Kigamboni District as part of monitoring the implementation of the Party’s 2020/2025 election manifesto and has said it is satisfied with the implementation.
The committee, led by the CCM Secretary for Dar es Salaam Region, Mr. Elias Mpanda who represented the CCM Chairman for the Region, accompanied by the Regional Commissioner, Mr. Albert Chalamila who is the main supervisor for the implementation of the manifesto in the Region.
Speaking during the visit, in Kigamboni District in Dar es Salaam, the Regional Commissioner, Mr. Albert Chalamila said that in the implementation of the notice on the construction of schools and health centers, the Region has currently set a procedure for the construction of health centers and schools in the apartment system to avoid the challenge of land shortage but also the best use of land because the population is increasing. The land is still the same.
In addition, while on the construction project of the Regional Secondary School being built in Kigamboni RC Chalamila said the plan to have regional schools including the one for girls in Kwembe in Ubungo district is to have an education system that will enable children to obtain vocational education and life skills after completing school.
In addition, together with the committee, showing satisfaction with the work of implementing the CCM notice, Mr. Chalamila has urged contractors to make good use of the funds provided by President Dr. Samia by directing the funds to relevant projects and ensuring that projects are implemented based on value for money and appropriate standards.
On the part of the CCM Regional Secretary for Dar es Salaam, Mr. Elias Mpanda, representing the CCM Regional Chairman on the visit, said the party is satisfied with the implementation of the manifesto in the district and stressed that projects should be completed on time and at the appropriate standards.
During the visit, the CCM Regional Political Committee visited the Wumilia Okooni Secondary School in Kisarawe Two Ward, the construction of a multi-storey health center in Mji Mwema Ward, as well as the Dar es Salaam Regional Secondary School project located in Geza Juu, Kigamboni District.
