PRIMARY MINISTER Kassim Majaliwa has asked Tanzania’s ambassador to Japan, Mr. Anderson Mutatembwa, to oversee the implementation of foreign policy, including maintaining economic diplomacy by encouraging investment and market access for domestic products.
“It is your responsibility to go and advertise the opportunities available in this country, make good use of our relations with Japan to find investors in various areas, there are many opportunities that we need to find, especially economic ones, when you get there, make a plan to visit investors, there are areas that we need to benefit from”, he said.
The Prime Minister said this (September 08, 2025) when he met with the Ambassador at Prime Minister Mlimwa’s office in Dodoma.
Mr. Majaliwa has also asked Ambassador Mtatembwa to put in place a plan to unite Tanzanians living in Japan and encourage them to participate in the various economic opportunities available in the country, which will enable Tanzania to benefit from these measures.
Also, Mr. Majaliwa has asked Ambassador Mutatembwa to promote existing tourist attractions in the country to increase the number of tourists visiting Tanzania.
“Use various platforms to encourage Japanese people to come and visit Tanzania, our goal is to ensure that we increase the number of tourists in the country”, he said
Mr. Majaliwa has asked the ambassador to put in place more strategies to promote the Swahili language in the country.
“While there, strive to expand the scope of the use of the Swahili language”, said Mr. Majaliwa
